Our Story

We’ve known each other since childhood and, even though we chose different career paths after spending high school together – István went into finance and Ádám gained experience in the automotive industry – one shared passion brought us back together: Neapolitan pizza.

So how did it start? In 2020, István fell in love with the craft of making pizza. He travelled to Bagnoli to study traditional Neapolitan techniques from Fabio and his team at one of Europe’s most renowned pizzaiolo training schools. This knowledge and dedication became the professional foundation of our business.

In 2022 we opened our first restaurant in Szentendre, followed by Passata 2.0 in the heart of Budapest, on Váci Street.

What Is Neapolitan Pizza?

Neapolitan pizza is one of the most famous and most deeply rooted Italian pizza styles. Thanks to the preparation method and the texture of the dough, it bakes to perfection in 90 seconds in a 450–500 °C stone oven. The centre of the pizza is thin and soft, while the crust is airy and lightly crisp.

Even though there are not many toppings on a true Neapolitan pizza, all the ingredients are carefully selected and of premium quality – which makes the flavour experience truly unforgettable. Authentic Neapolitan pizza is always hand‑stretched, and mastering the perfect shaping and baking requires a great deal of practice and skill.
